Here it is! My first bash at Movie Monday, a feature previously hosted by Jason Connerley over on Nerd’s RPG Variety Cast. Jason kindly asked if I could take over hosting the feature, which I was more than happy to do, as he has some other things he would like to devote time to.
When my son was much younger, we watched Time Bandits repeatedly. Later, when he was a teen, he dislocated a knee and got some heavy pain killers which required a respiratory therapist to watch over him as he came down from them. The therapist would periodically wake him and ask a question to make sure he was cogent.
After a few iterations of this, I asked if I could take a turn and the therapist said, "Sure."
I gently shook his shoulder and as my son woke up, I asked, "How long have you been a robber?"
His eyes fluttered, he turned to me and said "Four foot one." and fell back to sleep.
